THE PEECH HOTEL 

Chic and minimalistic, The Peech, a boutique hotel, situated in Johannesburg's northern suburb of Melrose, is owned and run by James Peech and his partner Cassie Janisch. With a desire to design and run his own hotel, James, a Francophile with an international background and a career in advertising, spent a number of years preparing himself for his new and exciting venture. 

The service at Peech is warmly welcoming, caring and efficient, currently fulfilling a great need for a stylish venue. Ideal for launches, small corporate functions and intimate weddings within easy reach of Rosebank, Illovo and nearby Melrose Arch. 

Six spacious, airy rooms, restful with comfortably sized beds that are dressed in immaculate white linen. Bathrooms have capacious showers fitted with 'rain dance' showerheads, and piles of snowy white towels. All rooms have satellite television and direct dial phone, and either overlook or are placed around a central serene garden, where you can take a lazy dip on warm summer days and relax around the pool. 

Guests on business have access to an array of services and facilities; wireless internet, informal meeting areas, a conference venue accommodating 10 delegates and complimentary access to the 24 hour Planet Fitness Gym.

 

The stylish lounge, dressed in subtle champagne suede and tangerine, is a contemporary sophisticated space where you can enjoy pre dinner drinks and a stunning after dinner coffee. 

Maxwell's restaurant with tables in white flowing linen cloths, accented with silver and crystal, overlooks the pool and shady tree filled garden. Thomas Barker, who heads up the Thomas Maxwell Team, has a reputation for his eclectic menu, which includes dishes in the contemporary French style such as plump Mussels in a light saffron sauce with thin crisp pomme frites, and a delicate green asparagus and feta tart served with buttery lemon sauce.
