Michael Olivier tells us that in the Anglican Church Book of  Common Prayer title "The Sunday next before Advent" will be on the 22nd November. This is the day on which, after Church, the Christmas puddings were made in my home when I was a boy [and I do not need to point out that this was some time ago!].

Michael Olivier, well known wine and food fundi, is steeped in the lore of wine. Growing up on a wine farm in Durbanville where wine and food was part of a warm family’s ethic. As a result he says that the mystique and elitism that is created around wine to him is all puffery and creates a barrier to the love, understanding and sheer joy of wine.
